"Network Weather Channel" Mystery Solved? Dave Schwartz Back to TWC
The mysterious disappearance of a weather start-up slated to launch as "Network Weather Channel" may be solved. All traces (online, anyway) of the company disappeared shortly after they announced their intentions late last month:
Another company — Network Weather, LLC. — announced its plans to launch a 24-hour weather channel later this year, as well. The prospective channel recruited several seasoned meteorologists such as the overwhelmingly jolly Dave Schwartz, who was a mainstay on The Weather Channel until the 2000s. Strangely, after the company posted a Facebook status (left) making a cryptic announcement about their future plans, their Facebook page vanished.
The mystery may be solved. This morning, The Weather Channel announced that they've re-hired Dave Schwartz as an on-camera meteorologist.
Dave Schwartz, longtime meteorologist for The Weather Channel, will return to the network beginning April 2014. Schwartz, who spent more than 20 years at The Weather Channel, is a fan favorite with a passion for weather and a magnetic personality.
As of now, there's still no definite word on the fate of Network Weather.
