The creators of Syfy's upcoming movie Sharknado 2: The Second One managed to write Al Roker and Matt Lauer into the script during a (probably) 2½ minute brainstorming session shortly after the surprise success of the first Sharknado movie last July.

Lauer announced on Wednesday that he and his fellow Today Show personality Al Roker will make a brief news-related cameo in the movie slated for release on July 31. Even though the two clips are probably (and hopefully) fake, it's going to be painfully cheesy nonetheless.

And that's what makes it so good.
